On Friday, October 2nd 2009 Helsinki the capital city of Finland went
GREEN & WHITE as we celebrated the landmark event - The Nigeria's
49th birthday as an independent nation.
The International cultural center (CAISA), the venue of the event was filled
with colourful dignitaries, costumes of distinct, special performances, vocals
from Nigeria's own Ebunoluwa Kivinen and Eyo Archibong.
A typical Nigerian stage drama with the title “Catch am” written by Ehi
Enakimio. Dupe Girls dancing and drumming to the admiration of the audience. An ancient
Yoruba tribe poetry by Ayo.
The newest sensation team in town Flowstastic and Tripple 2 were on hand to put a
final seal on the day.
But then, the popular Item7 was
perfect. It was a blend of Jollof rice with fried & roasted chicken, salads and
different kinds of drinks.
The Nigerian communities were fully represented as they crave for more of such events
organized by the Boyz network to continue.
